Welcome to MIMF
Dear Friends and Music Lovers.
The last time I put a notice on our website abouut my Pancreatic Cancer was June 2022.
A lot has happened since then.
I have had four Cycles of chemotherapy and there have been good and not so good times but we still battle on thanks to the support of famiy, friends and medical staff.
Thanks to our family and friends we have been able to continue with our Charnwood dances and with our September Festival at the Carrington in Bournemouth. We are also looking at Charnwood for 2023 and we have our St. Patrick's Festival Weekend in place for 2023. We have already sold over 60% of the rooms for this festival.
As always we believe it to be an excellent line up do do please book early.
Until we meet in person keep safe and do look after each other.
Best wishes
James & Tina

James and Tina McKeefry have been organising and hosting Irish Music Festivals, Concerts and Tours of Ireland for twenty years. The McKeefry Irish Music Festival is a three day Music, Dance and Folk residential festival which boasts Ireland's leading artists.
Following on from some very happy weeks at Southport I & B Records Festival organised by their good friend Bill Delaney and after numerous requests from listeners for a Midlands Irish Music Festival James and Tina presented their first festival in 1996 at Sutton Bonington University Campus near to Nottingham. In 2006 it was apparent that a much larger venue was needed and after visiting numerous Holiday Villages all over the British Isles James and Tina visited Sand Bay Holiday Village and knew immediately that this was to be the new home of the Mc Keefry Irish Music Festivals. Their guests obviously agreed and the March Festival sold out in six weeks with a second festival organised for the following September and again this Festival was a success.
Each Mc Keefry Irish Music Festival boasts top Irish and Country Bands and individual attention is given to each guest with both James and Tina personally handling the bookings and offering each guest the type of accommodation best suited to their needs. Each venue is very friendly for wheel chair users and all venues offer superb catering facilities and relaxation facilities. A simple phone call will ensure a prompt response. Do leave a message if the phone is not answered personally.
And on a personal note we now have had six grandchildren born over the past few years - four granddaughters - Stevie Martha, Josephine Mara aka Posy, Molly Rose and Bridger Gráinne as well as two grandsons - Malachy James and Monty James..
Welcome to our world, built with you in mind. We're here to have some fun, so why don't we begin?
